Marc N. Stock, DPM
Dr. Marc Stock is a Board Certified foot surgeon. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He has 19 years of experience in the field of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. He has been at his West University office location in Houston, Texas since 1993.
Dr. Stock did a two-year surgical residency at the Veterans Hospital, Yale University clinical campus New Haven, Connecticut. His Podiatry education was at the New York School of Podiatric Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree with honors. His undergraduate course work was at Yeshiva University, New York where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology.
Dr. Stock is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association as well as the Texas Podiatric Medical association. Dr. Stock is a member of the Pi Delta National Podiatry Honor Society. Dr. Stock has been on staff at St. Lukes Epsicopal Hospital since 1993. He is a member of the Saint Lukes Episcopal Independent Practice Association. Dr. Stock also has hospital privileges at Methodist Hospital and Saint Joseph Hospital.
Dr. Stock lives in Houston with his wife and children. He is an avid runner and has completed five marathons. Dr. Stock had the honor of carrying the Olympic Torch in 1996 after being nominated by the United Way.
Although Dr. Stock is trained in foot and ankle surgery it is his ethics and personal philosophy that make him unique. "It is the patient you treat, not just the problem." Treatment will be tailored to meet the needs of the patient. All individuals are treated conservatively in a stepwise fashion. His understanding of medicine, biomechanics and orthopedics often allow treatment to remain conservative. Only when conservative therapy has failed is surgical intervention considered.
